Celebration of Student Research & Creativity

This annual event highlights graduate and undergraduate student achievements in a broad array of scholarly and creative activities. Students display their scholarship and creativity through posters, oral presentations, interactive demonstrations, performances, and exhibits of artistic work.

Student Undergraduate Research & Creativity Award (SURCA)

This grant competition encourages and supports undergraduate students to undertake research and creative projects that will contribute new insights in the student's chosen field.  This grant is administered through the Office of Research, Grants, and Contracts.

 

Graduate Student Research Grant (GSRG)
This grant competition encourages and supports graduate-level students to undertake research and creative projects that will contribute new insights in the student's chosen field.  This grant is administered through the Office of Research, Grants, and Contracts.

 

Summer Undergraduate Research/Creativity Fellowship (SURF)

This fellowship competition encourages and supports undergraduate students during the summer to undertake intensive research and creative projects that will contribute new insight in the student's chosen academic field.  This fellowship is administered through the Office of Research, Grants, and Contracts.

 

Student Presentation/Publication Award (SPPA)

This award gives NKU students the opportunity to travel to events and conferences where they will be presenting or performing their own scholarly and/or creative projects.  Each student may request up to $400 between July 1 and June 30.  This award is administered through the Office of Research, Grants, and Contracts. Award formerly referred to as the Student Travel Award.

 

Other Funding Opportunities

Greaves Undergraduate Summer Fellowships
The Greaves Undergraduate Summer Fellowship awards 10 fellowships to students majoring in math, science, and technology.  This fellowship is administered through the Office of the Vice Provost.  Please contact your Department Chair to find out if you qualify and for questions related to this award.
